NEWMEDIA partnered with Kaiser Permanente to design, develop and deploy (and host) its new employee intranet, built on Drupal, using Organic Groups, serving the daily needs of Colorado’s 6,000+ Kaiser Permanente employees and physicians with newer, better and easier-to-use online tools.

The new Drupal website application easily allows Kaiser Permanente administrators to create new department websites in just minutes, allowing the 80+ departments to maintain control and autonomy over their own website content and message, while staying within the guidelines and design standards laid down for the entire Colorado group.  For the individual department administrators, the ease of creation of content, management of members’ posts, events and photo submissions makes the new website far and away easier to use than anything they had access to before.

As the state’s largest not-for-profit health plan, Kaiser Permanente is committed to improving the health of its 600,000+ members and the Colorado communities it serves. Because its members, employees, physicians, families, friends, and neighbors cannot be healthy if they live, work, and play in unhealthy communities, Kaiser Permanente is also intent on improving the health and vitality of Colorado communities.  In addition to providing essential healthcare to our citizens, Kaiser Permanente invests the time, expertise, and resources of its 6,000+ Colorado physicians and employees to help address our state’s most pressing health and social concerns. In 2011, Kaiser Permanente Colorado invested $89 million in our community programs and efforts.
